At the heart of The Well Encounter is a simple invitation:
Come to the Well.
Come as you are. Come open His Word. Come alongside other women doing the same. Come expecting that the God who met a woman personally at a well more than 2,000 years ago still meets women personally today.
Throughout Scripture, wells were gathering places—places people went because they needed something essential. In John 4, a well became the setting for an encounter with Jesus that changed one woman’s life and ultimately impacted an entire community.
That picture is at the heart of everything we are building.
The Well Encounter exists to invite women to encounter Jesus through the written Word of God and experience what happens when we return to His Word every day.
Some will come with a deep and established faith, while others are still searching. Others may arrive carrying questions, disappointment, loneliness, or wounds from past experiences with believers or the Church.
The woman in John 4 didn’t arrive at the well with everything figured out. She simply came—and Jesus met her there. We believe the invitation is the same today: Come as you are. There is a place for you at the Well.
A Resource for the Local Church
We also believe deeply in the local church. The Well was created not only as a place for individual women to gather around God’s Word, but as a framework churches can use to help women do the same.
For churches that desire to disciple and connect women but may not have the staff, resources, or capacity to build a women’s ministry from the ground up, The Well provides a simple framework, curriculum, and community support they can make their own.
Whether a woman comes to The Well individually, gathers with a few women in her community, or participates through her local church, the goal remains the same: to get more women into the Bible—reading it, understanding it, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform their lives through it.
